All Kinds of Light

Is there a word for enjoying the art of how a thing is made? Something beyond that which occurs after understanding how the seams are stitched together, the camera angle directly mirrors all kinds of light. What I’m thinking of isn’t exactly analysis, nor is it directly critique, either.

But something akin to that pleasant murmur of appreciation when you recognize the cinematographer’s name in the credits, all those bright lights now with a name to them, awash in signatures.
